after my first marriage ended in my early thirties, i wrote this song to commemorate my decision to have children whether or not i found a suitable life partner. i had my wedding ring melted and sold the stones to purchase a stunning garnet which I called my mother stone. the golden ring that circled that stone became a symbol of strength, possibility and fierce independence. this song is dedicated to all the women who find themselves on the mother's road, especially those who find the courage to take the journey in the way they least expect.
